The Extremo Sul Ultramarathon, a 226km trail race in Chui, RS, Brazil, has been organised by Horizontes - Turismo Desportivo since 2015. With 10 past editions, the race takes runners along immense sandy beaches on a tremendous sandy plain, between sand and sea. The course can seem endless, in an inhospitable and climatically unstable place of enormous contrasts.
