The Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra, a 92-kilometer trail race, is held in October and has been organised by GB Ultras Ltd. since 2014. With 471 finishers in its latest edition, this race has a larger field than 96% of 100k races.

The course has 230 meters of elevation gain, which is 2.5 meters of climb per kilometer. Runners have 16 hours to complete the race, a cut-off pace of 10.4 minutes per kilometer. This time limit is tighter than 46% of 100k races.

The route starts in Glasgow and follows the Forth & Clyde and Union canals, passing the Antonine Wall and the Falkirk Wheel before finishing in Edinburgh.
