Overview
Organised by NPO Koedo Oedo Training World, this 46-kilometre trail race in Yorii, Saitama Pref., packs 2900 metres of elevation gain into its point-to-point route. Averaging 63 metres of climb per kilometre, the profile demands steep mountain work on a course that travels from Yorii Town Hall over summits like Mt. Kanekidoyama and Mt. Ohira before finishing toward Opark Ogose.
The 11-hour time limit gives participants a 14.3-minute-per-kilometre pace cutoff, making the schedule more generous than 70% of 50k cut-offs and tighter than 30%. That forgiving buffer leaves room to negotiate the repeated climbs, Habara Pass, and castle ruins along the way.
With 127 finishers in 2025 across an event history running since 2016, the race draws a bigger field than 84% of 50k events and smaller than 16%. Registration costs 8000 Yen for the scheduled November 2026 edition.
