RunRepeat found the La Sportiva Prodigio to have a plush midsole, ideal for long distances, and a comfortable ride with versatility. However, they noted poor durability as a major concern, particularly for runners who are not lightweight. In contrast, iRunFar found the Prodigio Max to have a durable upper and a comfortable fit, although the upper provides a slightly less secure fit on steep terrain. iRunFar also noted that the shoe is not ideal for highly technical or steep terrain, but holds its own on more regular routes, whereas RunRepeat stated that the Prodigio is not for technical trails.
