RunRepeat found the Nike Pegasus 42 to have a comfy upper and improved grip, but noted that the new full-length Air Zoom unit adds little from a performance standpoint. iRunFar agreed that the shoe provides more grip and confidence, particularly due to its waffle-inspired outsole, and also appreciated the noticeable improvements in breathability compared to earlier versions. However, RunRepeat felt that the shoe stays heavier than expected, while iRunFar found it to be suitable for daily training, providing enough cushioning and responsiveness for efficient turnover, particularly on hill repeats.
